OMAK - A 52-year-old Cameron Lake man shot himself in the head with two handguns simultaneously during a suicide early June 8 in front of Mid-Valley Hospital's emergency room.
Chris Ausum was spotted on a surveillance camera that monitors people outside the hospital, which is locked at that time of the night, Omak Police Sergeant Don Eddy said.
A female employee, thinking the man wanted inside, went to open the door for him when he pulled the handguns around 1:37 a.m. and shot himself, Eddy said.
Next of kin have been notified, he said.
"Apparently there was no foul play," Eddy said, noting a complete report had yet to be made.
